Eurex Clearing Readiness Newsflash | Securities CCP Simulation: Preparation for migration scenario for Eurex Repo trades in simulation - late delivery over migration weekend
Dear Clearing Member,
With this Newsflash, Eurex Clearing provides additional information regarding the instruments which can be used in simulation environment of Securities CCP with regards to Eurex Repo transactions.
In order to provide the possibility to test the migration case that the settlement of Repo trades has failed on the contractual settlement date and the position is still pending over the migration weekend, following instruments have been defined and are technically prevented from settlement in Securities CCP Simulation environment:

All trades executed in those instruments will be defined as late after reaching the settlement date (settlement date before 14 June 2022) and are subject to special processing on migration weekend, i.e. gross settlement of single Repo trades belonging to failed delivery positions.
Eurex Repo Members can use the possibility to prepare themselves for the upcoming C7 SCS business migration. New F7 trades entered after 13 April 2022 that are pending or late as of 14 June 2022 (for Special Repo) will be migrated to the C7 SCS simulation environment.
In addition, please be aware that Eurex Repo trades entered in Securities CCP until 14 June 2022 are very important as they will become a part of Simulation Migration weekend, a dress rehearsal for the production weekend.
Eurex Clearing strongly encourages its customers to take part in the simulation activities connected to the introduction of C7 SCS 2.0 as possibility to get familiar with all aspects of the C7 SCS system in the context of Eurex Repo business processing.
