Eurex Clearing Readiness Newsflash | C7 Release 12.1: Start of Simulation phase on 23 March 2026
With this Newsflash, Eurex Clearing informs Clearing Members, ISA Direct Clearing Members, Disclosed Direct Clients and vendors that the simulation environment for C7 Release 12.1 will be available as of Monday, 23 March 2026.
The simulation phase provides participants with the opportunity to test their applications and operational processes ahead of the production launch of C7 Release 12.1, which is scheduled for 18 May 2026.
Scope of the Simulation
The simulation environment reflects the functional scope of C7 Release 12.1:
- Changes in Fee Identification Code with a new value in the Fee Trade Type Qualifier
- Extended trading unit limits for corporate actions
- Enhanced Advanced Risk Protection (ARP) email notifications for Level 1 and Level 2 limit breaches
- Updates to C7 reports
Please note that the launch of the FX options exercise processing changes is postponed to a later point in time. The related documentation "C7 12.1 Release Notes and C7 - Derivatives Clearing Functional Reference Guide" will be updated accordingly.

All relevant Member documentation valid for simulation as of 23 March 2026, including Release Notes and Functional Reference Guides, is available on the Eurex Clearing website www.eurex.com/ec-en/ under:
C7 Release 12.1.
Recommended action
Participants are strongly encouraged to actively participate in the simulation phase and ensure their systems are prepared for the upcoming production launch. Clearing Members and vendors should review the documentation and perform comprehensive testing covering C7 GUI, FIXML interfaces, and report changes.
