With this Newsflash we would like to inform you about upcoming testing opportunities available to customers in the T7 Release 14.0 Simulation environment.
Upon customer request and in order to support Trading Participants and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) with their ongoing testing of the Self Match Prevention (SMP) functionality enhancements, Eurex will adjust the default SMP instructions (CrossMatchInstructionDefault) for selected product groups within simulation starting on 2 October 2025 as follows:
Product Group | Default Setting in Simulation*
Fixed Income Futures | CancelPassiveAggressive (CAP)
Fixed Income Options | CancelAggressive (CA)
All other products | CancelPassive (CP) |
*The default setting in simulation by product group is for testing purposes only. The default setting in production will be uniformly set across all Eurex products.
Naturally, customers are both permitted and encouraged to manually set their SMP Instructions to deviate from the default.
Finally, we remind customers that after the T7 Release 14.0 go-live on 10 November 2025, the default SMP instruction will initially be set to CancelPassiveAggressive (CAP). At a later point (to be announced separately) the default for all products will be set to Cancel Passive (CP) and all 3 instruction types will become available for utilization by customers.
Eurex has published several documents for Trading Participants to assist them during the simulation phase of T7 Release 14.0. The new documentation can be found on the Eurex website www.eurex.com under the following path:
Support > Initiatives & Releases > T7 Release 14.0 > System Documentation
As always, Eurex highly recommends that all Trading Participants work through the system documentation to ensure a smooth go-live of T7 Release 14.0.
Learn more about T7 Release 14.0 on our dedicated initiative page under the following link: Support > Initiatives & Releases > T7 Release 14.0. System documentation, circulars, timeline and much more information will be available there for you.
